ANNUAL REPORTS & STATISTICS

Summary of Certification Activities

The table below summarizes the CMCA certification numbers for the past five years. The number of candidates approved for testing may not completely represent the total number of candidates who tested in the calendar year, as a candidate may apply in one year but choose to wait up to a year to take the exam. ‘Total CMCAs’ represent the total number of certifications awarded to date, including those CMCAs who have retired or no longer practice community association management.

Retention Rate

CAMICB has awarded over 25,000 CMCA certifications. CMCAs are required to submit an annual fee to maintain the credential, and managers are required to submit documentation of the requisite continuing education biannually. If one of these pieces is not met (payment or continuing education), certification becomes inactive. The retention rate indicates the percentage of CMCAs who pay the requisite fees and submit the requisite continuing education documentation.
